First humanoid robot

The humanoid robot known as Digit, which is being tested by Amazon and is intended for warehouse work, is the creation of Agility Robotics. The ultimate objective of Agility Robotics is to develop a “general purpose” Digit.

Remarkably, Agility Robotics was established in 2016 and has only produced about 100 robots thus far. However, after the completion of its new Oregon facility, the company hopes to increase production to 10,000 robots annually.

According to Amazon, which is testing one in a lab in south Seattle, Digit can move, grasp, handle objects, and navigate the warehouse because of its ideal size and shape for structures intended for human habitation.
