The death of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar has been linked to India, according to accusations made against Justin Trudeau, the prime minister of Canada. According to the news outlet CBC, Canada has gathered human and signal information in the investigation, including discussions with Indian officials in Canada.

The information was acquired over a period of months and includes interactions with Indian diplomats stationed in Canada. In private, a few Indian officials haven’t disputed the intelligence’s validity.

Murder of Hardeep Nijjar

Trudeau has urged India’s government to take the situation seriously and cooperate with them to ensure openness and accountability, saying there are “credible reasons” to suspect that India was involved in Nijjar’s killing.

In a months-long inquiry into Nijjar’s death, the Canadian government has gathered both human and signal intelligence, including communications with Indian diplomats stationed in Canada.

To get India’s help with the inquiry into Nijjar’s killing, several Canadian authorities have been there. Jody Thomas, Canada’s national security and intelligence adviser, visited India for more than four days in the middle of August and then returned for a second five-day visit this month that coincided with the meeting between Prime Ministers Justin Trudeau and Narendra Modi.

The killing of Najjar has not been the subject of any information supplied by Canada, according to the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA).

Arindam Bagchi, a spokesperson for the MEA, stated that although Canada has been provided with specific information regarding criminal activity by individuals located on Canadian land, no action has been taken.
