Qatar Airways Named World’s Best Airline at Skytrax 2024 Awards

Qatar Airways has once again proven its superiority in the aviation industry by securing the title of ‘World’s Best Airline’ for the eighth time at the Skytrax World Airline Awards 2024. The awards ceremony, held at Fairmont Windsor Park in London, also saw Qatar Airways winning multiple accolades including ‘World’s Best Business Class’, ‘World’s Best Business Class Lounge’, and ‘Best Airline in the Middle East’.

Other notable winners include Singapore Airlines, which ranked second and was recognized for having the ‘World’s Best Cabin Staff’ and ‘World’s Best First Class’, as well as being the ‘Best Airline in Asia’. Emirates secured third place, followed by All Nippon Airways and Cathay Pacific, with Cathay Pacific also winning the ‘World’s Best Economy Class’.

Top Performers Revealed at Skytrax 2024 World Airline Awards

The Skytrax World Airline Awards 2024 recognized Qatar Airways as the ‘World’s Best Airline’ for a record-breaking eighth time. This prestigious accolade highlights the airline’s commitment to excellence in service, comfort, and overall passenger experience. In addition to the top honor, Qatar Airways also claimed titles for the ‘World’s Best Business Class’, the ‘World’s Best Business Class Lounge’, and the ‘Best Airline in the Middle East‘.

Singapore Airlines, despite being dethroned from the top spot, still showcased its outstanding quality by winning the ‘World’s Best Cabin Staff’ and ‘World’s Best First Class’ awards. The airline also maintained its status as the ‘Best Airline in Asia’. Emirates, another major player in the aviation industry, secured the third position, demonstrating its continued popularity and high standards in passenger service.

Further down the list, Cathay Pacific was awarded the ‘World’s Best Economy Class’, highlighting its commitment to providing excellent service across all travel classes. Japan Airlines and Turkish Airlines were ranked sixth and seventh, respectively, while EVA Air, Air France, and Swiss International Airlines rounded out the top ten.

The awards also recognized regional excellence with Ethiopian Airlines named the ‘Best Airline in Africa’ for the sixth consecutive year, and Turkish Airlines winning ‘Best Airline in Europe’. Vistara, which ranked 16th overall, was honored as the ‘Best Airline in India/South Asia’ and received the award for ‘Best Airline Staff Service’ in the region, underscoring the airline’s rising prominence in the global market.
