He was warmly welcomed by the Indian diaspora in Brazil, with traditional Sanskrit chants and lively cultural performances. PM Modi expressed his gratitude for the “memorable” welcome, emphasizing the celebration of Indian culture in a foreign land.

India’s Vision of Global Unity Takes Center Stage at G20 Summit in Brazil

The summit’s theme, “Building a Just and Sustainable World,” aligns with India’s long-standing commitment to global cooperation. Key discussions will focus on tackling issues such as hunger, poverty, and climate change, with the aim of crafting solutions that benefit all nations, particularly the developing world.

Alongside these global challenges, the summit will also address critical reforms of global governance institutions, such as the United Nations and the World Bank, with an emphasis on creating a more inclusive and effective system. The inclusion of the African Union as a permanent member of the G20 is one of the major achievements of India’s G20 presidency.

PM Modi’s visit to Brazil follows a successful trip to Nigeria, where he was honored with the Grand Commander of the Order of the Niger (GCON), Nigeria’s second-highest national award. After the summit, Modi will visit Guyana, continuing his outreach to countries in South America. India’s growing global footprint is evident in these diplomatic tours that bolster ties with key regions and partner nations.
