As its forces launched a ground assault into the enclave, Israel kept bombing Gaza today. After approximately 1,400 people were killed in an attack by Hamas on Israeli towns on October 7, Israel began bombarding Gaza. In addition, at least 239 hostages were taken by Hamas agents.
The Israeli government claims that more than half of the hostages detained by Hamas are foreign nationals, including 54 Thais, who hold passports from 25 different countries.
