Israel’s attack on a camp in central Gaza claimed the lives of over thirty people, according to the Hamas-run health ministry, intensifying the ongoing hostilities between Israel and Hamas. After over 1,400 people were killed and over 240 Israeli and foreign hostages were taken during Hamas’ October 7 attack, Israel has vowed to “crush” the terrorist organization.
More than thirty martyrs have arrived at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir Al-Balah following more than 9,400 people—mostly women and children—being killed in Israeli strikes in Gaza.
Israel-Hamas Attack
Despite their differences since Benjamin Netanyahu took office again, Israelis have banded together to fight Hamas. US Secretary of State Antony Blinken has been under pressure from Arab leaders to broker an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, but Blinken has resisted, saying that such a ceasefire would only give Hamas time to regroup.
Mohammad Mokhber, Iran’s first vice president, referred to Israeli actions in Gaza as “a war crime” and demanded an immediate cessation of hostilities as well as humanitarian aid.
In addition to the over 9,400 Palestinians killed in the ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict—mostly women and children—51 people were killed in an Israeli military attack on a Gaza refugee camp. Mohammad Mokhber, the first vice president of Iran, demanded that Gaza receive emergency humanitarian aid.
Following Hamas’s war of retaliation in the Gaza Strip, which resulted in severe political and humanitarian unrest, the Israeli-Palestinian conflict flared up again. Encouraging a ceasefire and the prompt release of all hostages, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has denounced the circumstances in Gaza.
Furthermore, he pleaded with powerful people to uphold the laws of war and keep the fighting from spreading. Washington risks being viewed as ineffectual if it does not press for an expeditious conclusion to the Israel-Hamas war and a new approach to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
Throughout their operational activity in Northern Gaza, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have discovered multiple entry points to Hamas’ “terror tunnels”.
