Bharali Won Bronze for India at the IWF World Youth Championships Now

Indian weightlifter Bharali Bedabrate secured the men’s 67kg bronze decoration at the IWF World Youth Titles in Durres, Albania.

The 15-year-old lifted 267kg(119kg+148kg) to complete the third on Monday night.

Armenia‘s Seryozha Barseghyan 275kg(128kg+147kg) and Saudi Arabia’s Mohammed Al Marzouq 270kg (119kg+148kg) won the gold and silver decorations separately.

  • Bharali likewise won a bronze decoration in the quick lift segment with a best lift of 148kg.
  • In the ladies’ 49kg occasion, Koyel Bar completed 10th with an all-out lift of 144kg (64 kg+80 kg).
  • Lifters between the age of 13-17 are qualified for youth rivalries.

Decorations are granted independently for grab, clean, jerk, and all-out lifts in the mainland and Big showdowns, while only one decoration for complete lifts is given in the Olympic Games.

Federation Games champion Jeremy Lalrinnunga holds the aggregate (306kg), grab (140kg), and clean jerk (166kg) youth men’s reality records in the classification.

Mina St Nick, who lifted 153kg (70kg+83kg), completed thirteenth in the ladies’ 55kg occasion.
