  • Over a dozen artillery and drone strikes have been carried out by Ukrainian forces in the last 24 hours.

According to AFP, which cites the local governor, a woman was murdered by Ukrainian shelling in the Russian border village of Dunayka. This was the most recent in a string of deadly cross-border attacks by Kyiv.

The Ukrainians opened fire on the settlement of Dunayka, which is located in the Graivoron urban district. A civilian was slain, much to the sadness of the public, Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said on social media.

Russia-Ukraine War

She passed away immediately from her wounds before the arrival of the ambulance personnel. I send my deepest sympathies to the departed person’s family and friends,” he continued.

About four miles separate Belgorod oblast’s Dunayka from the Ukrainian border. Over a dozen artillery and drone strikes have been carried out by Ukrainian forces in the last 24 hours, according to Gladkov.

Following many weeks of lethal strikes that claimed the lives of over a dozen individuals, Russian authorities said yesterday that they had evacuated 5,000 youngsters from the border territory.

The Azov brigade was established in 2014 and has since been completely integrated into the Ukrainian military, although some argue that it still has far-right iconography and ties. Protesters in Kyiv are calling for the release of Ukrainian prisoners of war from this unit.
