On Thursday, Anant Chaturdashi, which will mark the conclusion of the 10-day Ganesh festival, more than 19,000 police officers will be deployed around Mumbai, according to a statement from the Mumbai police on Wednesday.
Along with Mumbai police officers, several other State Reserve Police Force platoons, quick response team (QRT) teams, RAF company, and home guard troops shall also be sent to different locations throughout the city.

In addition to 2,866 police officers and 16,250 employees with the rank of constable, the Mumbai police have deployed eight more commissioners of police, 25 deputy commissioners of police, 45 assistant commissioners of police, and 25 deputy commissioners of police.
The city of Mumbai has 162 artificial lakes set up in addition to 73 natural ones, with Girgaon, Juhu, Marve, Dadar, and Aksa beaches serving as the primary immersion locations.
According to a Mumbai police official, each of those locations has tight measures in place to guarantee that the city’s law and order situation is under control.
Additionally, authorities stated that each location is monitored by CCTV and that key immersion points have temporary control rooms equipped with sound systems.
To help the Mumbai police force, 35 additional SRPF platoons, QRT teams, an RAF company, and home guard troops have also been distributed at various locations to guarantee the safety of the populace.
