Buddhist Heritage Meets Global Beauty: Miss World 2025 Contestants Visit Buddhavanam

As part of their ongoing cultural tour in Telangana, 22 Miss World 2025 contestants visited Buddhavanam on Buddha Purnima. The Buddhist theme park, located on the banks of the Krishna River, is a tribute to the life and teachings of Gautama Buddha. The visit allowed the participants to experience the tranquil ambiance of the Maha Stupa and engage in spiritual ceremonies conducted by representatives from various countries.

The contestants, representing diverse cultures from India, Bangladesh, Myanmar, and other nations, took part in interfaith prayers and rituals that emphasized the universal values of peace and compassion in Buddhism. This cultural exchange fostered a sense of unity among the delegates, furthering the Miss World pageant’s theme of beauty with a purpose.

The visit to Buddhavanam also served as a platform for promoting Telangana’s rich Buddhist heritage to a global audience. The sprawling 279-acre park features attractions such as the Buddha Charitha Vanam, Jataka Park, and an in-house Buddhist Heritage Museum, providing visitors with a comprehensive insight into the spiritual legacy of the region.

Following the Buddhavanam tour, the contestants will continue their cultural immersion with a heritage walk at Charminar and a welcome dinner at the historic Chowmahalla Palace. The event, which began on May 10, will run until May 31, with the contestants visiting key tourist attractions to promote Telangana as a global cultural destination.

The Miss World 2025 contestants’ visit to Buddhavanam was more than a cultural experience — it was a moment of spiritual reflection that resonated with the essence of Buddha Purnima, symbolizing inner peace and unity amid diversity.
