Rancho Cordova celebrates the Diwali

Outreach Volunteer Shivang Pandya reports that the BAPS Hindu Temple in Rancho Cordova celebrated Diwali on Saturday.

Approximately 4,200 people attended the celebration during the course of the day, many of whom were elected officials. Celebrated by billions of people worldwide, Diwali is a time for giving, spending time with loved ones, and joy and peace.

Diwali Celebration

The world over, people celebrate Diwali. Officials from various political parties were present. In Sanskrit, Maha-Annakut means “mountain of food,” and this was how Diwali was observed. 

A spiritual presentation comprising numerous savory, sweet, sour, and spicy dishes prepared by volunteers of various age groups. For the event, more than 300 volunteers aided.
