From December Malaysia will Allow Visa-Free Entry

  • On Sunday, during a discourse at his Kin’s Equity Party congress, the Head of the state made the declaration.
  • In any case, he didn’t express for how long the visa exception would be appropriate.

As per the Top state leader of Malaysia Anwar Ibrahim, his nation will allow sans visa passage to residents of China and India for stays of as long as 30 days beginning from December 1.

Malaysia Will Allow Visa-Free Entry

China and India are this Southeast Asian nation’s fourth and fifth-biggest source markets, individually.

Malaysia recorded 9.16 million traveler appearances between January and June 2023, with 498,540 from China and 283,885 from India, as indicated by administration information.

That contrasted with 1.5 million appearances from China and 354,486 from India during a similar time in 2019, preceding the Covid19.

The declaration follows comparative estimates carried out by adjoining Thailand to support its crucial travel industry area and lift its slow economy, with Chinese and Indian nationals among those absolved in 2023. Presently, to enter Malaysia, Chinese and Indian nationals should apply for visas.
