Meta AI begins to appear on Instagram and WhatsApp

This week has seen several noteworthy advancements in the tech industry, such as the launch of OpenAI’s GPT-4 Turbo update to ChatGPT, Meta’s testing of its AI chatbot on Instagram and WhatsApp, and the confirmation that Google Gemini AI will be available on Oppo and OnePlus handsets.

With just a word command, Meta AI’s generative AI chatbot, dubbed “Meta AI,” can create poems, produce graphics, and respond to other queries. Meta AI is now testing its chatbot on Instagram.

Google’s Gemini AI models will soon be included in the smartphones produced by Chinese companies Oppo and OnePlus.They announced jointly that they are collaborating with Google to incorporate cloud AI into their next products. This means that customers will be able to utilize AI for things such as creating audio, creating social media material, and summarizing news items.

Apple is facilitating iPhone repair by enabling users and outside service providers to use repurposed Apple components in fixes. This new procedure will provide more options, lengthen the life of the product, and assist protect user privacy, security, and safety.

Due to a procedure known as “parts pairing,” which compares the device’s serial number to the replacement part that Apple sells, customers of the company were previously unable to fix their iPhones using used parts.

Starting on May 15, Google is also making Pixel’s AI picture editing capabilities available to all users. When the Pixel 8 series was introduced last year, the potent tool was one of its main selling features.

However, it appears Google wants users to become used to its tool amid the flood of AI-powered image editors available on the market. Only 10 edits can be made by free users each month; additional edits will need a Google One subscription with at least 2TB of storage.

On his podcast, Microsoft Founder Bill Gates spoke with Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI, and the two had an extensive conversation about artificial intelligence. Speaking about his doubts about artificial intelligence replacing him, Gates said he gets a great deal of satisfaction from his work on malaria and its eradication, as well as from recruiting bright individuals and allocating money to that cause.
