American fly-half Despite Ben Donaldson’s two penalties for the Wallabies, Eddie Jones’ team simply had too much of a hill to climb to catch up to Wales.

Anscombe kept the scoreboard going with a masterful tee shot and a deft drop goal, Jac Morgan gave it his all on offense and defense, and Gareth Davies, the scrum-half, was outstanding with a try and some beautiful kicking from the ruck.

Against Australia, Mike Forshaw’s Welsh defense held strong, allowing no giveaways to the Wallabies. Wales put on an incredibly professional show, controlling the tempo of the game the entire time, and never seemed like they were going to lose the game.
