Asian champion Aman Sehrawat won the men’s 57kg freestyle gold medal at the World Wrestling Olympic Qualifiers in Istanbul, Turkey, earning India a quota for Paris 2024.
The U23 world champion Sehrawat defeated Korea’s Chongsong Han 12-2 in the semi-final round to secure India‘s sixth quota for the 2024 Summer Olympics in wrestling. This was the first men’s freestyle wrestling quota for India in Paris 2024.

Wrestlers have one more chance to earn a quota for the Summer Games, which is the Istanbul meet. There are three Paris Olympic quotas available for every weight class.
The winners of the playoff match between the two bronze medallists in the weight class will take home the third position, with the two finalists in each division earning Olympic quotas for their respective nations.
