Day 6 of the Paris Paralympics 2024 saw India facing mixed outcomes. Star shooter Avani Lekhara, despite a promising performance in the standing stage, finished 5th in the women’s 50m rifle 3 positions SH1 final.

Although she fell short of the podium this time, she has already secured gold earlier in the competition. In archery, Pooja Jatyan’s campaign ended in the quarterfinals of the Women’s Individual Recurve Open event.

Meanwhile, Indian athletes in athletics are poised for crucial events later in the night. Deepthi Jeevanji, competing in the Women’s 400m T20 Final, has her sights set on gold. Additionally, high hopes rest on Mariyappan Thangavelu, Shailesh Kumar, and Sharad Kumar in the Men’s High Jump T63 Final, as well as Ajeet Singh, Rinku, and Sundar Singh Gurjar in the Men’s Javelin Throw F46 Final.

In archery, Pooja Jatyan faced a tough challenge and was knocked out in the quarterfinals of the Women’s Individual Recurve Open.
