Melbourne Park resident Mirra Andreeva, 16, defeated Tunisian player Ons Jabeur 6-0, 6-2 to win a water sport championship at Rod Laver Arena. Ons’s amiable disposition and her style both on and off the court inspired her.
Top-tier In the longest Grand Slam match of her career, Iga Swiatek overcame American Danielle Collins to get to the third round of the Australian Open. At a Slam, Swiatek, ranked 62nd, was attempting to become the lowest-ranked American male or female to upset a world No. 1 player.
