Fans React to the Latest Malcolm Brogdon News

Malcolm Brogdon of the Boston Celtics and Immanuel Quickley of the New York Knicks were considered to be in a close race for the NBA Sixth Man of the Year award this season.

As he received the majority of the first-place votes for the award, Brogdon was declared the winner on Thursday, and the anticipated close race never occurred.

NBA Championship Victory

With an average of 14.9 points per game, a shooting percentage of 48.4 overall and 44.4 from three points, and a contribution to the Celtics’ second-best league record of 57-25, as the sixth man of the year, Brogdon was honored.

However, many Twitter followers believed he didn’t deserve it. This Supporter Thinks Quickley Deserved The Award. The New York Reserve had a regular-season scoring average of 14.9 points per game, but his shooting percentages (44.8 percent overall and 37.0 percent from downtown) weren’t quite as high as Brogdon’s.

These two spectators were thinking of Bobby Portis of the Milwaukee Bucks. Portis himself had a good season, scoring 14.1 points per game and grabbing 9.6 rebounds while shooting 49.6 percent from the field and 37.0 percent from beyond the arc.

He has played an important reserve role for the Bucks over the past three seasons and was instrumental in their 2021 NBA Championship victory.

However, Brogdon had a significant impact on a Boston squad that had a very thin bench the previous season when they lost the world championship in six games to the Golden State Warriors.

The Celtics are no longer significantly at a disadvantage when they switch to their second unit or when Jayson Tatum is taking a break, even though they were only ranked 20th in bench scoring during the regular season.
