In 2024, the 4th Shanghai Citizen’s Games will take place from April to November, offering public events and activities that are both competitive and non-competitive.

Citizen’s Games
80 competitive items and 40 non-competitive activities at the municipal and district levels will be included in the 4th Shanghai Citizen’s Games. From the preliminary rounds, neighborhood, and district choices, to the finals, the competitive items will have a comprehensive framework.
Joint organizers from all spheres of society will be chosen through a bidding process for the city-level brand activities. Local businesses, organizations, sports associations, and social agencies were encouraged by the city’s sports authority to assist in organizing the Games during a promotion seminar on Wednesday.
April is when the Games’ opening ceremony is planned. We will make more announcements about the competition and regulations later. Communities are urged to participate in the Shanghai Amateur Games, which are held annually, in addition to the Citizen’s Games.
The sports authority reports that around 7,900 sporting events and competitions have been scheduled for the 2023 Shanghai Amateur Games, both online and off. 249 social organizations and businesses have been designated as joint organizers or partners of the offline events, which have drawn participation from over 5.2 million individuals.
