The CCHA announced its selections for Player of the Week on Monday, naming Ryland Mosley and Matthew Campbell of the Michigan Tech Huskies hockey team. According to the CCHA, Campbell is the defenseman of the week and Mosley is the forward.
In Friday’s 3-2 overtime win over Minnesota State, senior forward Mosley scored twice for the Huskies. Along with scoring the first goal for the Huskies, he scored the game-winning overtime goal on a power play.
CCHA Players of the Week
With the CCHA sweep, Mosley, the alternate captain, has nine shots on goal and three blocked shots. In addition, he helped the unit kill penalties three out of three times.
With eight goals this season, Mosley is tied for the team lead and has a six-game point streak going. Sophomore Campbell had an assist every night in the series sweep in Mankato.
His primary assist came on Mosley’s overtime game-winning goal, which he also set up for Tech’s second goal through Jack Works.
In his nine games during his rookie campaign with the Huskies, Campbell has four points (one goal, three assists). Tech, which plays Bowling Green this weekend, is 6-6-3 overall and 4-2-0 in the CCHA.
