Audrey Khan Arévalo, an Ontario archer, has been chosen to represent Canada at the World Archery Youth Championships in Limerick, Ireland, and Union Digital is happy to share this news. In June, Audrey triumphed in the under-18 female division of Canada’s national selection camp tournament.
At the Canada Cup East in Laval, Quebec, she also completed the uncommon archery hat trick by taking first place in the qualification round and taking home the gold medal in the U18 Female Recurve division. Her spot on the national team is further cemented by Audrey’s strong performance in US events, which included a silver medal at the 2023 Arizona Cup.

The grade 11 student at Blyth Academy, now 17 years old, began archery at age 7 after being inspired by the Disney film Brave. Since a few years ago, she has been actively competing across North America. Initially, she was coached by the famous Joan McDonald, and she is currently guided by Crispin Duenas, a four-time Olympian and recent gold medalist at the 2023 Canada Cup East.
The development of his pupil has Duenas impressed. Because I can see firsthand Audrey’s excitement, dedication, and talent, coaching her is a privilege. Her daily regimen and results show her extraordinary dedication and work ethic, according to Duenas.
