The largest shopping mall in Vietnam debuts

The 2010-started but unfinished mall is revived by the seven-story shopping center. In 2017, Lotte acquired the project from Citra West Lake City Development and invested $600 million to complete it.

It is situated next to Hanoi’s largest lake, which is a popular tourist destination, on Vo Chi Cong Street.

35 acres, or 50 football fields, make up the entire floor space. A total of 233 stores will occupy almost 60% of this area. According to VNExpress, 25 of these are new brands to the Vietnamese market.

A 21-story office tower, 192 serviced apartments, and a 264-room, five-star hotel will also be included. There will be two underground levels. Lotte Mart, a cutting-edge grocery store hoping to increase the grocery display ratio by 90%, will be located in the first.

Additionally, there will be the 1,000-seat Lotte Cinema and the 3,400-ton tank-hosted Lotte World Aquarium Hanoi.

The mall will be a milestone in Vietnam, allowing visitors to enjoy “a blend of nature, shopping, and cultural experiences,” a Lotte representative claimed.

In the bitter aftermath of the 2016 “THAAD” incident, Lotte invested in the Vietnamese mall after departing from China. China and South Korea got into a diplomatic and business dispute as a result of the latter’s decision to permit the US to place anti-ballistic missiles on their soil.
