Vivek Ramaswamy, a US presidential candidate, is shown in a popular video on social media conversing with a Tamil-speaking fan of Indian descent. The man revealed to him that he is from Vellore, Tamil Nadu, in the video that Ramaswamy posted on X.

This sparked a chat in Tamil between the two. He declared his desire for Ramaswamy to be elected as the next president of the United States and for him to speak Tamil.

Ramaswamy emphasized that the man’s Tamil was more similar to that spoken in Palakkad, Kerala, and he urged him to assist in building support for his presidential campaign.

People of Indian descent responded favorably to the video, which has received over 431,000 views and 5,600 likes. Users remarked on Vivek’s aptitude for the position of US President, as well as his intelligence, humility, and sense of roots.

Ramaswamy was born to Tamil-speaking Brahmin parents with Keralan ancestry from Palakkad. His parents immigrated to the US from Kerala and were employed by a General Electric facility in Ohio.

People of Indian descent have responded positively to the film, praising Ramaswamy’s inclusivity and hoping he will win the presidency.
