Thailand‘s guardian State leader Prayut Chan-o-cha declared on Tuesday (Jul 11) he will stop legislative issues and leave the Unified Thai Country Party, in front of a parliamentary vote to choose the following head of the state.
Thailand PM Quit Politics
The resigned general shared the message on his party’s Facebook page while saying thanks to individuals for supporting him and his political gathering in the overall political race on May 14.
Gen Prayut became head of the state in 2014 in the wake of driving a rebellion to oust Yingluck Shinawatra’s fairly chosen government.
His tactical junta managed Thailand for almost five years before an overall political decision was held in 2019 under another constitution composed of a military-delegated board of trustees.
- Around then, he was the sole prime pastoral applicant of the favorable junta party Palang Pracharat.
- Together, they have 312 seats in the 500-part Place of Agents.
The party figured out how to frame the public authority with its political partners, even though it was the resistance Pheu Thai Party that had a larger part of the seats in the Lower House.
On May 14 this year, his new party Joined the Thai Country and lost the political decision to the Push Ahead Party, which won 151 seats in parliament.
Push Ahead then framed an alliance with seven political partners, in particular Pheu Thai, Prachachat, Thai Liberal Party, Thai Sang Thai, Fair, Plung Sungkom Mai, and Pue Thai Rumphlang.
