The Indonesian President Widodo travels to China

At the FISU World University Games in Chengdu, Chinese President Xi Jinping will meet with Indonesian President Joko Widodo.

Both nations are looking to play a bigger role as nickel and raw material suppliers to China‘s electric car businesses. These nations are members of the Group of 20 major industrialized and emerging economies.

Widodo travels to China

Joko Widodo, the president of Indonesia, arrived in China on Thursday with plans to meet with Xi Jinping, according to a state news agency.

According to the Xinhua News Agency, Widodo was slated to attend Chengdu, which is in southwest China, for the FISU World University Games opening ceremony. Although it said the two leaders would meet, it gave no indication of what they might discuss.
