The first list of candidates is released by the Congress

  • For the Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Telangana assembly elections, the Congress released its initial slate of candidates.

  • The son of former chief minister Digvijaya Singh, Jaivardhan Singh, has been nominated for the Raghigath seat.

For the Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Telangana assembly elections, the Congress released its initial slate of candidates on Sunday. While the party declared 144 candidates for the Madhya Pradesh elections, it also announced 30 candidates for the Chhattisgarh elections and an additional 55 candidates for the Telangana assembly elections.

From his Chhindwara assembly seat in Madhya Pradesh, the party fielded former chief minister and leader of the PCC Kamal Nath. The son of former chief minister Digvijaya Singh, Jaivardhan Singh, has been nominated for the Raghigath seat. The previous Kamal Nath government included him as a minister.

The first list of candidates

The party fielded T S Singh Deo for the Ambikapur assembly seat and Bhupesh Baghel for the chief ministership in Chhattisgarh. Baghel is the current assembly member for Patan.

The Pradesh Congress chairman Anumala Revanth Reddy and CLP leader Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu were the candidates the party filed in Telangana for the Kodangal assembly seat and Madhira-SC seat, respectively.

Madhya Pradesh elections are scheduled for November 17, while Chhatisgarh assembly votes are scheduled for two stages on November 7 and 17. November 30 is the Telangana assembly polls. Dec. 3 is when the results will be announced.

The Madhya Pradesh Congress candidate list, which includes 19 female candidates and 65 candidates under 50, is complete, according to State Congress President Kamal Nath.

There is nothing left for the BJP to lose this election. Rajnath Singh, the minister of defense, will speak at election rallies in Maheshwar and Huzurabad on October 16. Candidates for the party running in the next elections have been advised by State Chief Minister KCR to consult party-appointed auditors and legal specialists.

For individuals who did not receive MLA tickets for the November 30 Telangana assembly elections, there will be multiple chances. Tickets to run in the elections have been distributed to all MLAs in office.

Twelve people were killed in a truck collision at the Vaijapur toll booth; seventeen injured people were treated in Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar, and six more were taken to a rural Vaijapur hospital.
