Strong Reaction From the Russian Embassy To London’s Statement Regarding Uranium Shells

The British First Deputy Defence Secretary James Hippie’s remarks about the use of depleted uranium shells in Ukraine have been denounced by the Russian Embassy in London. Diplomats say the West accuses this nation of being a radioactive storage facility.

Hippie had earlier claimed that London had transferred DU shells and other thousands of Challenger 2 tank weapons to Kyiv without keeping an eye on their use in combat.

The embassy emphasized that the deployment of depleted uranium projectiles can have detrimental effects because they discharge radioactive dust into the ground that cannot be cleaned up and can cause cancer.

The embassy stated that the West intended for this nation to serve as both a radioactive “cemetery” and a training ground for anti-Russian military forces.
