Sonia Gandhi Says Congress Will Work with Complementary Parties

Amid the Narendra Modi government’s commitment to “misusing every power” and upcoming elections in several important states, Sonia Gandhi said her party would carry its message directly to the people and join forces with other like-minded parties to protect the Constitution.

The Hindu published an opinion piece by Gandhi claiming that the government’s actions show a deep-rooted disdain for democracy because Modi’s administration has “systematically dismantled” the legislative, executive, and judicial branches.

Congress with Other Parties

The abuse of the Central Bureau of Investigation and the Enforcement Directorate by the Narendra Modi government is well known, according to her, with over 95% of political cases filed only against opposition parties — and cases against those who join the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) miraculously disappearing.

Several allegations of financial fraud against his “chosen businessman” are ignored while the prime minister makes lofty claims of justice and truth. Mehul Choksi’s arrest is canceled by Interpol, while the convicted rapists of Bilkis Bano are released and given a platform alongside BJP leaders.

  • Sonia Gandhi said her party would carry its message directly to the people.
  • Modi’s administration has “systematically dismantled” the legislative, executive, and judicial branches.
  • Recent rulings by the Indian Supreme Court have made it abundantly apparent.

Not content with this, the government modified the Information Technology laws to remove legal protections for any news that it deems to be ‘fake news,’ arming itself with new legal authority. Recent rulings by the Indian Supreme Court have made it abundantly apparent that critiquing the administration would not result in punishment. Is the government paying attention?”

Any website that broadcasts criticism of the great leader will be retaliated against by an army of lawyers, according to the BJP and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).

Gandhi asserted that maintaining silence cannot resolve India‘s issues and that the prime minister dodges questions about the policies of his administration, which have a significant impact on millions of people’s lives.

She stated that Nirmala Sitharaman, the finance minister, failed to address either unemployment or inflation in her budget statement, treating them as if they didn’t exist.

A prime minister who denies Chinese infiltration, a government blocking Parliament discussion, and a defeatist attitude toward China are further emboldened by the government’s intransigence regarding open border disputes.
