Impeachment Investigation
Republicans may be able to draw attention to their claims of corruption during the 2024 campaign thanks to the House vote. The investigation was started informally by the House three months after Republicans did the same; it is not necessary to remove the president or any other official from office.
Nonetheless, authorization may provide Republicans with additional legal leverage to compel Biden’s administration to comply and refute Democratic charges of its inauthenticity.
Republicans in the House of Representatives assert that during Biden’s term as running mate to President Barack Obama from 2009 to 2017, he and his family profited financially from his activities, specifically related to his son’s business ventures in China and Ukraine.
They have produced proof that the younger Biden misled clients into thinking he could grant them access to the vice president’s office, but they have not produced any proof that Biden did anything to assist those companies or gain anything monetarily.
