Party leader Nawaz Sharif would return to Pakistan on October 21 after achieving greater power, according to PML-N Senior Vice President Maryam Nawaz.

Shehbaz Sharif, the second-generation prime minister, announced the time and place of his elder brother Nawaz Sharif’s return to Sharif.

However, after the Supreme Court ruled to reinstate corruption cases against political heavyweights in response to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan’s petition contesting the changes made to the nation’s accountability laws, rumors about his return started to circulate on social media and in the mainstream media.

The PML-N leader made it clear that the party chief’s homecoming date had not changed and that Nawaz was prepared to deal with “all kinds of circumstances” when he returned as planned.

Nawaz Sharif, who was permanently banned in 2017 for failing to declare a payable salary, has been living in self-imposed exile in London since November 2019 due to health issues.
