Election Day 2023 in Rajasthan: A brawl breaks out at a polling station

Voter turnout increased significantly in the Rajasthan elections of 2023, with Congress candidate Gourav Vallabh forecasting a 10% turnout up until nine in the morning.

The leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party, Dr. Alka Gurjar, highlighted the significance of law and order restoration, bolstering the state economy, and honoring women. Speaker of the Lok Sabha Om Birla commended the Indian Election Commission for holding widespread, impartial polls.In Rajasthan, 24.74 percent of voters were counted as of 9 am.

After voting started, there was a brawl at a Churu polling station. One poll worker reported that he was attacked by four to five individuals and that he was slightly hurt. In the Pali district of Rajasthan on Saturday, a poll worker for a candidate passed away from what appeared to be a cardiac arrest.

Chief Minister of Rajasthan Ashok Gehlot voted in the Sardarpura assembly constituency, and Rahul Gandhi, the leader of the Congress, urged people to support a government that offers guarantees and benefits to the people.

Dr. Bulaki Das Kalla, a minister for Rajasthan, declared that the Congress had won both the 1980 and 1985 assembly elections in Rajasthan and that they would do so again and take power there.

Vasundhara Raje, a prominent member of the BJP, concurred with Ashok Gehlot’s assertion that the BJP has a positive undercurrent. Around 3 lakh people have been assigned to polling parties, according to State Chief Electoral Officer Praveen Gupta, who commended their enthusiasm.

BJP MP Subhash Chandra Baheria and his spouse showed up at a Bhilwara polling place to cast their ballots. Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, a union minister and BJP leader, cast his ballot in Jodhpur, declaring that the people would vote to overthrow the current administration and write a new chapter in the state’s history.
