2024’s Children’s Mental Health Awareness Day is an opportunity to bring attention to the problems with mental health that young people in particular suffer. Every year, from May 7 to May 13, it is observed, with May 7 serving as the opening day.
This day was first observed in 2005 by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) in the US to raise awareness of the problems with mental health that young people and children confront.
Children’s Mental Health Awareness Day 2024
In observance of Children’s Mental Health Awareness Day, we should educate ourselves on the difficulties that young people in our community experience when it comes to their mental health, take part in community outreach programs, organize events that promote mental health for kids, and approach mental health issues with an open mind.
Children with mental health concerns can get therapy, care, and support by working with doctors and practitioners. Both the stigma associated with mental health illnesses in general and the stigma associated with children’s mental health specifically needs to be destroyed.
