Uppal was a little uneasy in the finale, but he persevered to beat Vishnu Chillar 5-4 in a tense summit match. It was a 34-33 23-45 32-11 34-23 09-32 34-36 14-37 72-0(72) 52-01(52) victory for him.

Chillar, on the other hand, tapped from a huge array of cue sports strategies to overcome Sundeep Gulati, a former champion, 5-3. Even though Gulati, who has won multiple international titles, wasn’t an easy opponent for Chillar, the former maintained his composure to win.
