To streamline the claims process, reduce fraud, and increase industry confidence, the program enables policyholders to seek cashless care in any hospital, regardless of whether or not it is part of the network.
In the case of an emergency, policyholders must tell the insurer within 48 hours after admission; otherwise, they must contact the insurer at least 48 hours in advance.

The cashless option is currently limited to hospitals with agreements with insurance carriers. Hospitals without such agreements might need reimbursement claims, which could cause the processing time for claims to increase.
