The Lú Festival of Light is returning to Drogheda, transforming the town into a vibrant celebration of Irish mythology through spectacular light projections.

Running from October 25 over two weekends, the festival will highlight iconic legends like Cú Chulainn and the Salmon of Knowledge, with storytelling and visual displays illuminating historical locations, including St.

This year’s festival also introduces an exciting new feature, “The Milky Way,” an interactive installation at Scotch Hall. This immersive, touch-free experience combines cosmic imagery with ancient lore, allowing participants to reveal constellations as they move. Alongside the light shows, visitors can enjoy music, special events, and late-night openings at cafes and restaurants, making the festival a full evening of adventure.

A standout addition this year is “The Milky Way,” an interactive installation located in Scotch Hall.
