  • Fabrice Raoul, previously CFO of Chanel’s beauty division, is now CEO of Chanel SAS.
  • Raoul replaces Luc Dony, who retired in March, and will report to Bruno Pavlovsky.
  • This appointment is part of Chanel’s broader reorganization under CEO Leena Nair.

Chanel has announced Fabrice Raoul as the new CEO of its French subsidiary, Chanel SAS, following Luc Dony’s retirement in March.

Raoul, who previously served as CFO of the beauty division, will work alongside Bruno Pavlovsky, President of the Fashion and Fine Crafts division, and report to him in his new role.

Chanel’s French Subsidiary Welcomes New CEO Amid Strategic Reorganization

This move aligns with Chanel’s ongoing leadership reorganization under CEO Leena Nair. The company has also recently appointed Joyce Green, formerly the fashion manager in the U.S., as managing director for Chanel France, signaling a strategic reshuffle in its global operations.

In addition to his new CEO role, Raoul will also serve as CFO Europe, reflecting a strategic consolidation of financial oversight within the company. His appointment is part of a broader reorganization strategy initiated under CEO Leena Nair, who has been steering Chanel’s leadership changes since 2022.

The reshuffling extends beyond Raoul’s appointment. Chanel recently transferred Joyce Green, who was the fashion manager in the U.S., to the French market as managing director. This move aims to strengthen Chanel’s market presence in France, enhancing operational synergies within the brand.

These changes come at a time when Chanel is also adapting to new creative directions following the departure of its former creative director, Virginie Viard. The reorganization underscores Chanel’s commitment to evolving its leadership structure in line with its strategic goals.

Chanel’s latest executive changes, including the appointment of Fabrice Raoul as CEO of Chanel SAS, represent a strategic realignment within the company. This move, along with other recent leadership shifts, underscores Chanel’s efforts to enhance its global and regional operations.

“Fabrice Raoul has been appointed CFO Europe and CFO of the Corporate Finance teams in France, succeeding Luc Dony.”
