Even though the runway is gorgeous, something is appealing about an atelier display. That’s what happened when Archana Rao and SWGT virtually presented their designs at Lakme Fashion Week x FDCI at the Jio World Convention Center.
With the conflicting heavenly bodies represented in the ensembles’ designs, Archana Rao dubbed her collection “Sun and Moon.” The show was truly divine, showcasing a deep analysis of striking contrasts that culminated in a chic balance between the two.

Drawing inspiration from both the calm embrace of the Himalayas and the bustle of the city, Shweta Gupta’s collection for SWGT showcases exaggerated silhouettes entwined with nature’s poetry.
The collection combines humorous, lyrical, captivating, and whimsical elements with undertones of kindness, heartbreak, optimism, and happiness. The patterns have a classic charm because of the Swarovski crystals, vivid appliqués, and delicate pearl embellishments.
A striking control over structure and style is evident in the gathered knots, textured pintucks, and collars. The periwinkle flower serves as an inspiration for the quilting, which creates a striking contrast. Geometric textures are produced by pleating and pin tucks, while hand embroidery lends a charitable touch.
