Atelier Hekayat, based in Jeddah, unveiled a collection that was both futuristic and steeped in nostalgia on the second night of the first Riyadh Fashion Week.
Every member of the audience was given a bundle with a note attached, and the runway marked with rocks burst with the scent of lavender. The text highlights their father’s love and the influence it had on their lives, thanking him for their success and wishing him eternal peace.

The fashion label Atelier Hekayat was established by Abeer and Alia Oraif, who drew inspiration from their father’s architectural background and early recollections.
The collection includes items that are influenced by ballet dancing, like a tiny chair and a pistachio green gown with pearl and crystal accents.
Two models are dressed in traditional Saudi cultural prints resembling porcelain for the show, and their blue and pink ensembles are topped off with full-circle skirts.
Elegant red and black pieces with pleated tulle trims evoking gentle clouds are combined with soft pastel hues to create the “I am coming home” collection. This brand debuted in 2012 and took part in the inaugural Fashion Futures Saudi Arabia event in 2019.
They also made the cover of the first edition of the report “The State of Fashion in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia” and were chosen for the Saudi 100 Brands exhibition.
