Len Goodman, 78, a Legend of “Strictly,” Passed Away

From 2004 through 2016, the celebrity presided as chief judge on Strictly Come Dancing. Shirley Ballas afterward took his place and is still a part of the show.

Len passed away “peacefully” over the weekend, according to a spokeswoman for him. He was surrounded by his family.

A representative from the family confirmed that he passed away peacefully over the weekend. Len had spent a brief period in a hospice in Tunbridge Wells, Kent, after being diagnosed with bone cancer, according to the MailOnline.

On social media, condolences for Len are starting to come in. Len Goodman has passed away, a fan said. He contributed so greatly to the top. Yet another person commented, “Oh no, that is sad news.” Len Goodman gave so many people so much delight.

“So shocked to hear the sad news that Len Goodman has passed away,” said another. Len has previously discussed quitting Strictly in 2016.

When requested to participate in a brand-new BBC Saturday Night show in 2004, he remarked: “Who would have guessed that I, old Len Goodman, would still be a part of this fantastic series more than 10 years later?

I’ve been on this voyage since I was 60, but now that I’m 70, I’ve decided it’s time to hand the position of Head Judge to someone else after this year.

Being a member of the fantastic Strictly Come Dancing family is a privilege, and he continued, “I’m looking forward eagerly to both my final series and whatever comes next.” Len was also a contestant on the Dancing with the Stars American edition.
