In response to his appearance in the post-credits scene of “Black Adam,” Henry Cavill declared on social media on Monday that he is “back as Superman.”
Cavill explained in a video shared to his Instagram account, “I wanted to wait until the weekend was over before posting this so that everyone could watch it.” Nevertheless, now that so many of you have, I wanted to formally declare that I will be making a comeback as Superman.
Official Return of the Man of Steel
During his Instagram video, Cavill said that his appearance in “Black Adam” and the photograph of him wearing a Superman outfit was “just a taste of what’s to come.” Aside from thanking the supporters for a warm welcome to his return as Krypton’s last son, the 39-year-old actor did not make any additional comments.
During his speech, Cavill said, “I want to thank you for being patient and for your support.” “I guarantee a prize for that.”
- Henry Cavill’s return was officially covered by Multiple trades and WBD even reposted.
- He declared on social media that he is “back as Superman.”
- He impressed many fans with his stunning good looks and superhuman body
For the first time in ten years, Cavill made his debut as Superman in 2013’s “Man of Steel.” Since then, he has only appeared in a select few movies, including “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” in 2016, “Justice League” in 2017, “Zack Snyder’s Justice League” in 2021, and a fleeting post-credits cameo in “Black Adam.”
Several people thought Cavill was uncannily suited for the role because of his incredible appearance and superhuman build. But each of his Superman outings ended up becoming controversial for a different reason.
While some fans admired the way director Zack Snyder handled the role, others felt it was at odds with what has made Superman one of the most enduring superheroes ever.
As everything is going on, J.J. Abrams’s Bad Robot has been quietly working on a second Black Superman project with writer Ta-Nehisi Coates for more than a year with no updates.
David Zaslav, the new CEO of Warner Bros. Discovery, is said to be annoyed that the character has languished while Marvel Studios continues to release at least three major motion pictures year.
Nevertheless, Johnson and his co-producers have made it obvious that their long-term plan for Black Adam involves a compelling Superman tale.
