Due to the ongoing WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes, the release of “Dune: Part 2,” the sequel to the film “Dune,” has been questionable. The movie’s global release date is still up in the air; it has been postponed until 2024.
Denis Villeneuve’s film was scheduled to premiere in North America on November 3, 2023, before expanding to theaters across the world on November 17, 2023. Its US release date has been changed to March 15, 2024, although it is still unknown when it will be available anywhere else.

‘Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire’ has also been postponed by one month, to April 12, 2024, by the studios Legendary and Warners.
The release date of “The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim” has been changed from April 12 to December 13 of that same year. ‘Aquaman and The Lost Kingdom’ and ‘Wonka’ were two other goals that were very likely to be postponed.
Since the studios are preparing the movie for IMAX distribution and are certain that a few additional changes and additions will be possible owing to the delay imposed by the strikes, they are not too negatively impacted by this delay.
Returning cast members include Timothee Chalamet, Zendaya, Rebecca Ferguson, Javier Bardem, Josh Brolin, Stellan Skarsgard, Dave Bautista, and Charlotte Rampling in “Dune: Part 2.” Christopher Walken, Léa Seydoux, Florence Pugh, and Austin Butler are recent additions to the cast.
