For her portrayal of the lead role in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gangubai Kathiawadi, Alia Bhatt won the National Film Award for Best Actress. She and Kriti Sanon, who took home the prize for playing Mimi, shared it.

Fans praised Alia for choosing to wear her wedding saree again for the event. This decision was discussed by the actress in a recent interview.

National Film Award

Actress Alia Bhatt, from India, recently attended the HT summit wearing her wedding gown again for the 69th National Film Awards. Given that Sabyasachi Mukherjee created the saree, she said the choice was personal.

Bhatt added that it’s customary for people in society to wear their wedding gowns again for other important occasions. She thanked the audience, Sanjay Sir, her family, her team, and the entire crew after the awards.

Additionally, she gave Kriti Sanon her congratulations for winning the same category as Mimi. Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, a romantic comedy-drama directed by Karan Johar, starred Bhatt and was a critical and financial hit.

This year, she debuted in Hollywood in the film Heart of Stone, costarring Gal Gadot. Her next production, Jigra, which is helmed by Vasan Bala, is scheduled for release.
