Designed as a ‘Net Zero’ Green Campus, the new facility features sustainable technologies like solar plants and water recycling systems. It includes two academic blocks, auditoriums, a student hostel, and an amphitheater, reflecting a significant collaborative effort between India and East Asia Summit countries.
The new campus features state-of-the-art facilities, including two academic blocks with 40 classrooms, two auditoriums, and a student hostel for 550 students. It also includes an international center, an amphitheater, a faculty club, and a sports complex.
Designed as a ‘Net Zero’ Green Campus, the university incorporates sustainable technologies such as solar plants, water treatment and recycling systems, and 100 acres of water bodies. These initiatives aim to make the campus self-sustaining and environmentally friendly.
Nalanda University is envisioned as a collaborative effort between India and East Asia Summit countries. It began operations from a temporary site in 2014 with just 14 students, and the construction of the new campus started in 2017.
The inauguration of the new Nalanda University campus marks a significant milestone in reviving an ancient center of learning with modern, sustainable infrastructure. This initiative not only honors India’s rich educational heritage but also establishes a state-of-the-art institution fostering international collaboration and environmental sustainability.
