A $1,716 million bridge that was being built in the Bihar district of Bhagalpur collapsed on Sunday. The bridge was across the Ganga River. The four-lane bridge connected Aguwani in the Khagaria district to Sultanganj in Bhagalpur fell twice.
According to witnesses, many men were working on the bridge when it began to collapse. But no fatalities have been indicated thus far. A review of the incident has been mandated by the state administration.
Massive 4-Lane Bridge
In the Bihar district of Bhagalpur, a four-lane bridge that was still being built fell for the second time, seriously damaging the route connecting Sultanganj and Aguwani. The bridge, which connects the north and south of Bihar, was officially opened in 2014.
The state government has mandated an investigation into the event, and SP Singla Constructions Private Limited, the business building the bridge, has been given time to finish the job. The bridge connects north and south Bihar, making its collapse a major problem for the area.

Due to architectural issues discovered by specialists, the Bihar government purposefully tore down a section of a 3.1-kilometer-long bridge that had fallen.
Tejashwi Yadav, the deputy chief minister of Bihar, and Pratyay Amrit, the additional chief secretary, held a press conference in response to social media posts showing the crumbled bridge.
As a preventative measure, the government decided to demolish portions of the bridge. Due to a lack of an access road, the bridge was not yet publicly opened to the public when it fell in December of last year.
