On the U.S. charts, J-Hope made a powerful statement with “Mona Lisa,” which debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Digital Song Sales chart. Meanwhile, V has proven that presence doesn’t require activity. Despite his military enlistment, he topped Google’s global search trends for Q1 2025.

BTS Members Make History While on Hiatus: Jimin, J-Hope, and V Redefine Global Stardom

Jimin’s Spotify dominance is nothing short of historic. Since debuting his solo track “With You” in 2022, he has held the No. 1 position on the Spotify Korea Weekly Top Artists chart for a staggering 90 weeks out of 139 total appearances. His song “Who” has also maintained a stranglehold on the Daily Top Songs chart without any formal promotion.

J-Hope’s chart-topping success with “Mona Lisa” showcases his global appeal and the impact of BTS members as individual artists. The track’s immediate rise to No. 1 on Billboard’s Digital Song Sales chart underscores his strong fanbase and musical versatility. This achievement is especially notable in the competitive U.S. market.

Despite being off the stage and screen due to his military service, V continues to lead as a cultural icon. He was the most-searched K-pop idol globally from January to March 2025. He also topped Google Trends in 71 countries, including the U.S., U.K., and Japan. This means he outperformed even Western pop stars like Billie Eilish and Harry Styles.

V’s social media influence also remains staggering. With only 129 posts and following just his fellow BTS members, he has amassed over 66 million Instagram followers. He holds the record as the fastest K-pop artist to surpass 60 million followers, doing so in just 18 months. This is a testament to his enduring allure and unmatched fan loyalty.

BTS may be serving their country, but their impact continues to serve the world stage. This proves their legacy is only growing stronger.

“True stars don’t need to shine every day—they’re always in the sky.”
