Seven out of the ten most valuable companies in India saw a combined market valuation increase of Rs 59,404.85 crore during a week that saw fewer holidays.
The largest gainers were ICICI Bank and Bharti Airtel. Tuesday saw a decline in the BSE benchmark to 75,124.28 from its all-time high of 75,038.15 on Wednesday.
Most valuable companies
The value of ICICI Bank rose to Rs 7,75,447.63 crore, while the value of Bharti Airtel surged to Rs 19,029.37 crore. The valuation of Tata Consultancy Services surged to Rs 7,507.53 crore, while the valuation of Reliance Industries increased to Rs 19,85,797.70 crore.
While Infosys’ market capitalization (mcap) increased to Rs 6,16,424.57 crore, ITC’s mcap increased to Rs 5,36,967.87 crore. The market value of the State Bank of India increased to Rs 6,84,294.62 crore.
However the market capitalization of HDFC Bank fell to Rs 11,53,894.76 crore, and the valuation of Life Insurance Corporation of India fell to Rs 6,14,252.15 crore. The net worth of Hindustan Unilever decreased to Rs 5,24,663.73 crore.
