13 percent of Apple’s flagship devices are now manufactured in India, where the company constructed $14 billion worth of iPhones in fiscal 2024, according to Bloomberg News. 67% of the gadgets were assembled by Foxconn, and 17% by Pegatron Corp.
The remaining iPhones were manufactured in the Karnataka plant of Wistron Corp., which was acquired by the Tata Group last year. When Reuters asked Apple for comment, Apple did not reply.

Even though China is still the world’s largest center for iPhone production, Apple is progressively trying to diversify its supply chain outside of China in light of the geopolitical concerns between Beijing and Washington.
According to a story published by Reuters on Monday, Pegatron is in advanced talks with the Tata Group to transfer management of its sole iPhone production facility, which is situated in the southern state of Tamil Nadu, close to Chennai.
The Indian consumer products company is also constructing a second plant in Hosur, Tamil Nadu, and Pegatron is probably going to be involved in a joint venture.
