At the Detroit Auto Show, Alef Aeronautics debuted the first flying vehicle in history, which is based on a Model A prototype that was given legal clearance in June.
The 110-mile flying range, two-passenger capacity, and pricing of the fully electric car, which costs about $299,999 ($2.46 crore), make it suitable for small groups.

Passengers can enjoy 180+ degree vistas and the cabin is built to maintain stability throughout flight. Despite being near, according to Jim Dukhovny, founder and CEO of the automotive company, the vehicle that was just presented is not the final consumer form.
In less than 15 minutes, he said, the car could be trained to fly and be driven. To test the vehicle both on the ground and in the air, Alef Aeronautics obtained a Special Airworthiness Certification from the Federal Aviation Administration in June.
Pre-sales for Alef Aeronautics began in 2022, and the company has already taken close to 500 reservations. Dukhovny initially intended the flying automobile to help with traffic problems, but other applications have now emerged.
Dukhovny requested suggestions from the internet community regarding his business and the flying automobile in a post on “X” in August. He said that the car made commuting quicker and more environmentally friendly, saving people and businesses hours every week.
