Beta Technologies Perfects Alia CX300 Pilot Training Ahead of First Deliveries

United Therapeutics, alongside its Unither Bioelectronics subsidiary, provided valuable feedback that will help Beta refine its training approach. This review is a crucial step as Beta moves toward delivering the Alia CX300, which is expected to start operations in 2025, pending FAA certification. The final training product will be tailored to meet the needs of various commercial operators like Bristow and UPS.

The pilot training program is designed to be completed in about one week and will be essential for ensuring that pilots are fully prepared to operate the new electric aircraft. The feedback from United Therapeutics will play a crucial role in refining the training curriculum, ensuring it meets the needs of future operators.

Beta’s other customers, such as helicopter operator Bristow and logistics giant UPS, will have the option to customize the training documents to suit their specific operational requirements. These customized training curriculums will need to be FAA-approved through local Flight Standards District Offices, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

This iterative approach to pilot training highlights Beta Technologies’ commitment to safety and effectiveness as it prepares to launch its innovative aircraft. The feedback loop with early customers is vital in shaping a robust and reliable training program.

Beta Technologies’ pilot training review with United Therapeutics marks a significant step toward the commercial rollout of its Alia CX300 electric aircraft. The collaborative feedback process will ensure the final training program is well-suited for future operators, supporting a successful introduction of this innovative aircraft.

“Feedback from the program review with United Therapeutics will help shape the final training product that Beta will provide to customers ahead of their initial CX300 deliveries.”
