Singapore and Thailand Have Substantial Relations with Strong Economic

  • Singapore was Thailand’s eighth-biggest exchanging accomplice last year, while Thailand was Singapore’s 10th-biggest.
  • Two-sided exchange expanded 23.4 percent year-on-year to S$42.1 billion.

SINGAPORE and Thailand have an “exceptionally meaningful” relationship with solid financial, safeguard, and individuals-to-individual joins, said Head of the State Lee Hsien Loong at the Istana on Thursday (Oct 12).

Relations Between Singapore and Thailand

He was talking during a lunch that he facilitated to pay tribute to Thai State leader Srettha Thavisin, who was making his most memorable authority visit to Singapore since he got down to business in August.

PM Lee said the two Asian nations share a nearby verifiable companionship, one which dates as far as possible back to 1871 when Ruler Chulalongkorn picked Singapore for his most memorable abroad visit.

Singapore and Thailand officially settled strategic relations in 1965 – the year Singapore became free – and the two nations sent off the Singapore-Thailand Improved Monetary Relationship in 2002.
